Can a man and woman be "just friends"?
After graduating from law school with honours, Edwin Santora, Abigail’s occasional ex and handsome housemate, can get a job anywhere he wants. Of all the places to land, why does he take a position with her small firm? As if sharing a house with her irresistible ex isn’t bad enough, it quickly becomes the least of her concerns. When Edwin’s macho arrogance begins to seriously affect her dating life, Abigail starts to reconsider their friendship; not that Edwin believes a man and woman can be "just friends" anyway.
With Edwin’s swoon-worthy stunts and fierce persistence, Abigail finds herself catching feelings. When Edwin makes a friendly proposal—no strings attached—Abigail can’t resist.
After some sexy role playing, she finds herself dangerously in love and wrapped back up in Edwin's powerful grip. When Abigail risks everything, revealing a treacherous little secret, will their friendship pass the test? Or will they give in to the mysterious forces trying to drive them apart?

This book was horrible don't waste your time reading this.SPOIlERS
Abigail was so immature. She flirted with another guy knowing it would make Edwin jealous. When she gave him the ultimatum it was ridiculous. She is 24 and ends it with Edwin the man she loves because she wants a baby right now. He just finished school he should have a chance with her alone before they had kids. He didn't say no just not right now. He was so charming and sweet I hated Abigail even more. She even stayed friends with the woman who had sex with her best friends boyfriend. Aliah was selfcentered she always wanted to be the center of attention and was nasty if not. She was so dumb for staying with Hunter when he cheated on her and is having a baby with another woman. Edwin was the only good one in the book. Don't waste your time on this

Twisted The Twisted Series Book 1 eBook Christa Simpson Black Widow Publishing Reviews
This book was okay. It did a pretty good job portraying a twenty-four year-old woman; her ups and downs, hopes and fears (the fears are quite imaginative), friendships and loves. I don't think the reader is supposed to fall in love with her but know they are supposed to fall in love with Edwin. Although the story was okay, I don't plan on continuing the series.
Spoiler Alert* I enjoyed this book, I liked the push and pull back and forth between the two main characters, Christa Simpson does a good job in building tension and keeping the sex sexy. What I didn't like is by the end of the book I was tired of the heroine. She's all over the place, immature and annoying most of the time. I feel that characters can have demons and dark secrets and even boarder on the edge of crazy at times but still make us love them and root for them. She's crazy one minute, the next insecure, the next a sex kitten who uses her curves to her advantage, the next she's crying wolf, then shes embracing her relationship with the sexy Edwin, then she's pushing him away, bringing him back, pushing him away. Perhaps her character shows more depth and growth in the second book, I am on the fence if I will read ahead to find out as that is how tired I had become of the heroine.
I was so glad I got the time to sit down and read Christa Simpson's first book, and boy, I was NOT disappointed. Edwin is hot. He is my kind of man, sarcastic, playful and furthermore, loyal to the girl he loves. Abby, Aliah, Hunter, all characters I could relate to and the conversation is brought together perfectly as if I were standing there and listening to it. Christa Simpson has a way of making it all flow together very nicely. The love scenes between Abby and Eddie were hot. I was hoping they'd stick together to the end, and I can't wait to see what book 2 has in store for this couple. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a steamy, playful love story. Great job Christa Simpson!
Of all the characters in this book, Edwin is the only likable and sane one. Abby is an idiot for dumping him when he does not want to settle down and have kids. He just graduated and is still getting his feet wet in the professional world. And she can't wait!! Selfish to the end. Her best friend is having lover issues as well. She SHOULD dump her boyfriend and yet hangs on to him even after he impregnates her foe after their one-night stand. So if it wasn't for Edwin this book would have only one star. As for the "ghost of Jenny" that really was the last straw.
Christa Simpson's first book is an easy to read sexy book. It asks the age old question, Can Ex's be friends? Abby and Edwin are not only ex's they are roommates too, which complicates their situation so much more. They still have feelings for each other and seem to sabotage relationships each other has with others. They have a complicated relationship but so fun to see develop into something more. The love scenes between Abby and Edwin are hot! They are perfect together. Can Edwin and Abby make their new relationship work or will they go in separate directions? I'm so glad I have book 2 on my kindle already so I can find out what happens next for this couple.
I immediately feel in love with the characters and the relationships between them, from the I-put-up-with-you-because-we're-coworkers and the realistic & relatable best friends to the sexual tension between the housemates turned lovers . I also loved how the MC knew what she wanted and wouldn't settle for less just because it was easier or because of comfort & convenience. The cliffhanger ending left me running for book 2!
The main character is a bitchy, immature, narcissistic twit who also happens to be unrealistic and delusional. At 24 she's acting like her ovaries are dying, and gives a stupid ultimatum about having a baby when she is no parts emotionally stable or mature enough for one. I hope Edwin moves on to someone on his level.
